I went to Shantiniketan for a project work in the year  2021. Being an urban citizen the urban life had an impact on my  artwork but I can see the

change in my artwork after a month-long stay there.  For the first time I experienced the smell of 'Lal Mati' (red clay). My drawings and sculpture  theme changed during this visit to Shantiniketan.

The rural environment, palm trees, the regular lifestyle of people around, hunting various types of animals, and cultivation became  a part of my theme work. I started enjoying the natural  ambiance.

When I started clay work after about two years based  on the above mentioned concepts and red clay (Lal Mati) as my  medium, Santiniketan became the subject of my work.

First time staying in a mud house for a long time was a special experience for me.

Indigenous people, having conversation, sharing food and working with them..

These experiences are so special. The place I disliked has become very special to  me.
