Inside & outside are interconnected. As a meditation practitioner I am trained to observe my breaths going in & out. In every breath the inside is revealed to the outside world and outside is assimilated within. The boundaries of internal and external are blurred. The act of looking transforms both the inside and outside and one often becomes the door to the other. My series on Language of Breaths & Carving Thousand Buddha Within are about this impact of looking inside. The same interconnectedness reveals the brutality in times like Covid. The pain & grief outside shattered the insides of all of us. The broken glass work is influenced by that shock of Covid first wave.
