ABOUT ICAF

Vision and Mission

Indian ceramic art foundation website is a concern of “Mrin Foundation”, a charitable trust registered under Gujarat public trust act. Registration no: E/23020. The Indian Ceramic Art Foundation ( ICAF) is organised as a national, not-for-profit organization, with a mission to promote Indian Ceramic Globally, promote knowledge, engagement and appreciation of ceramic art through establishing networks among the artist community, educators, designers, collectors, patrons, students, museums, traditional artists and the general public.

The ICAF founder members are Falguni Bhatt, Khanjan Dalal, Madhur Sen, Shampa Shah, Sandip Manchekar, Vilasini Reddy.

To exchange knowledge, organise conferences, seminars, workshops, training courses, symposiums, exhibitions and encourage participation in exchange programs, both in India and abroad in order to promote Indian ceramic traditions and contemporary art forms globally.

To develop and build collaborations and dialogue between the ceramic art and design fraternity and mainstream art, art history and architecture by organising open forums, projects, exchange programs as well as research, documentation and experimentation in art forms and materials.

To encourage contemporary and new talent in ceramics through skill development courses by collaborating with organising residencies, artist camps, training programs for the encouragement and sustainability of traditional pottery.
